The Rev. Charles Barfoot, a professor in the religion department at Arizona State University, will be the speaker when the Hemet SAGE Society meets 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, in the Ramona Room of Miller-Jones Mortuary, 1501 W. Florida Ave., Hemet.
Those attending must wear masks and show proof of vaccination.
Barfoot, who has studied at Princeton Theological Seminary, Harvard University Divinity School, the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, and the University of Birmingham (in the United Kingdom), is the author of a biography of Aimee Semple McPherson.
The Hemet SAGE Society (Search for Adventure in Greater Education), which hosts speakers on a wide variety of subjects, is looking for new members and for regional public speakers on topics such as healthy living, theater, technology, personal safety, science, art, medicine, law and history.
