Memphis‘ recent wave of junior college commitments continued Monday with Highland (Kan.) Community College linebacker Warren Peeples Jr. committing to the Tigers.
Peeples, who is 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, is the fourth junior college player to commit to the Tigers since Saturday. He’s originally from Georgia and played his first season at Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College.
“It has been a great 2 (sic) years competing with all my coaches and brothers. I’d like to thank everyone who pushed me to be great on and off the field from my family and friends to my coaches and teacher,” Peeples wrote in his announcement posted to Twitter.
Memphis also has commitments from tight end Anthony Landphere, lineman Davion Carter and safety Ladarian Paulk. All three junior college prospects committed after the Tigers hosted recruits this past weekend
The Tigers have 16 commitments ahead of the start of the early signing period Wednesday. With Peeple’s commitment, the Tigers class is now up to 61st, according to the 247Sports Composite team rankings, and third among AAC schools.
