WEST VALLEY CITY — No. 17 Weber High boys basketball won the fourth quarter 26-15 to force overtime, then used a 8-5 advantage in the second overtime to grab a 6A first-round road win Wednesday at No. 16 Hunter (12-10) by a final score of 68-65.

Stryker Rashid led all scorers with 22 points for Weber (10-13), with 14 coming in the fourth quarter and overtimes. Hunter Schenck scored 16 points and Cannon DeVries added 13, with each making two 3-pointers.

The Warriors will travel to face No. 1 Bingham (21-2) on Friday.

SYRACUSE 53, LONE PEAK 45

HIGHLAND — No. 18 Syracuse broke a 25-25 halftime tie with No. 15 Lone Peak (10-11) by outscoring the Knights 28-20 after the break for a 6A first-round road upset.

Kaden Ericksen led all scorers with 22 points for Syracuse (9-13) and Brock WIlliams added 12 points, with each hitting two 3-pointers. Brevin Hamblin scored 10 points.

The Titans advance to play at No. 2 Davis (22-1) on Friday.

BONNEVILLE 63, MOUNTAIN VIEW 55

WASHINGTON TERRACE — No. 4 Bonneville used a 20-8 second-quarter advantage to take control in a 5A first-round playoff win over No. 29 Mountain View (5-19).

Koy Dixon led a balanced Bonneville (18-4) attack with 14 points and four 3-pointers. Jake Williams scored 13 points, Joe Tesch added 11 and Bo Dixon netted 10 points.

Bonneville will host No. 20 Maple Mountain (10-13) in the second round Friday.

BOX ELDER 63, NORTHRIDGE 53

BRIGHAM CITY — Matthew Low hit four 3-pointers on his way to 15 points, leading No. 10 Box Elder past No. 23 Northridge in a 5A first-round playoff game.

Jackson McKee scored 12 points for Box Elder (15-8), Elijah Kersey tallied 11 and Cole Mortensen added nine points. The Bees travel to face No. 7 Woods Cross (15-8) on Friday.

Ben Harward led Northridge with 15 points. Kade Sparrow tallied nine points and Cade Christensen netted eight. Sam Sivulich, Northridge’s leading scorer, did not play. The Knights end the season with a 9-15 record.

WOODS CROSS 50, BOUNTIFUL 45

WOODS CROSS — No. 26 Bountiful led 24-19 at the half, then No. 7 Woods Cross outscored the Redhawks 31-21 in the second half for a 5A first-round win.

Mason Bendinger scored a game-high 23 points for Woods Cross (15-8). Zach Delange added 11 points. The Wildcats will host No. 10 Box Elder (15-8) on Friday.

Trevin Ostler led Bountiful with 16 points and Carson Smith scored 12 points with two 3-pointers. The Redhawks end the year with a 7-16 record.

TIMPVIEW 70, VIEWMONT 55

PROVO — No. 14 Timpview (13-11) hammered Viewmont 28-16 in the first quarter and the Vikings could not recover in a 5A first-round playoff loss.

Radek Pulsipher led No. 19 Viewmont (10-14) with 19 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals. Zach Robison added 14 points, knocking down three 3-pointers, and Scott Noel aed eight points and five rebounds.
