While the world is trying to stop a horrific ongoing event, more companies cut ties with Russian-related services and locations.
Many urge others to temporarily stop their activities in Russia, at least until the horrific event ends. The latest companies urged to cut ties are PlayStation, Xbox, and other game development companies and esports platforms.
In an open letter, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, has directly tagged Xbox and PlayStation that they should stop support for the Russian market if they support human values. The open letter asks companies to “temporarily block all Russian and Belarusian accounts, temporarily stop the participation of Russian and Belarusian teams and gamers in all international esports events and cancel all international events holding on the territory of Russia and Belarus.”
Many movies and games have either been cancelled or postponed and have publically offered their support for Ukraine since the beginning of the ongoing event.
